Massey Ferguson 8S.205-8S.305 Xtra

In the summer of 2025, the Massey Ferguson 8S series received minor updates and the model name was complemented by Xtra. The lower parts of the engine hood sides were now black. There was still a gap between the cab and the engine compartment, and the cab had a forward-sloping windshield. The work lights were now standard LEDs. The exhaust pipe was better hidden by the pillar than before. The cooling fan now only ran when needed, which reduced the noise it produced. A new accessory was a fan that could be turned to the cleaning function.

The 7.4-liter Agco Power was available in six options in the power class of 205-305 hp. On top of this, except for the largest model, there was an additional power of 20 hp. Maximum power was achieved at 1850 rpm and maximum torque in the range of 1000…1500 rpm.

The basic transmission was the Dyna7 with a 7-speed quickshifter, with a total of 28+28 gears. The same number of gears was in the DynaE dual-clutch transmission. The speed of 53 km/h was achieved at 1800 rpm. The third option was Agco's continuously variable Dyna VT. The hydraulic variable displacement pump had a capacity of either 150 or 205 l/min and a lifting force of 10,000 kg. The power take-off had economy speeds as standard. The Dyna VT had only two speeds, either 540E/1000 or 1000/1000E.

The basic Efficient model had standard features such as a sprung front axle, mechanical cab suspension, 4-speed cruise control, air-suspended and heated seat and electric control of the main hydraulic blocks. The Exclusive model also had, among other things, Datatronic 5 terminal, headland automation, autopilot capability, automatic air conditioning, ventilated seat, active cab suspension, electrically adjustable and heated mirrors, radar and traction control, electric control for all hydraulic blocks and power beyond connection. The noise level in the cab was reported to be 68 dB.
