Info

The Volvo BM 26 series was merged into the Volvo BM Valmet lineup for a couple of years. The most important unifying feature was the engine hood design borrowed from the 05 series. The 5.5-liter Volvo engine produced 140 hp, and in the intercooled 2105 version it delivered 163 hp. The front axle was replaced by a slightly more steerable ZF unit. The transmission remained an unsynchronized 8+2, to which an electrically controlled creeper gear could be added. In Finland, the creeper gear and air conditioning were standard. The cab was largely unchanged, and the tractor’s height reached a record 340 cm.

The data has been collected primarily from brochures. In some cases, sources contain conflicting information. In such cases, we have attempted to select the most reliable information. There is particularly significant variation in speed data, which varies depending on factors such as tire size. For tires, only the size most commonly used in Finland is listed. Other changes during the model history have been addressed in the text section. For the front axle lock, the Finnish term "hammaslukko" (gear lock) is used for all 100% locks.
