In the autumn of 1970, the new models from the Doncaster factory were introduced: the 3-cylinder 454 and the 4-cylinder 574. The update was so extensive that largely the same features carried through until the 1990s.

The tractor brand was now solely International, and the grille followed the new IH style. Instead of the previous pre-chamber diesels, the engines were German direct injection diesels.
